Airlift Services, Division of Energy, Inc.
Airlift Services International was originally founded in 1997 with the direct purpose of developing a new, economically feasible solution to oil production in stripper oil wells. Oil production of shallow stripper wells has dramatically decreased as a result of dated production technology and high maintenance costs. Since 1994, Energy, Inc., a small independent oil production company, steadfastly tried to produce oil using standard approaches. High production and maintenance costs in the oil market removed any chance of profitability within the stripper well segment. Accordingly, Energy, Inc. provided the first test sites for development of the Airlift Oil Pumping System. Dr. John Marvel, President of Energy, Inc., believed that if he could pump oil using compressed air, it would dramatically increase profits through the lowering of production maintenance costs. Funded internally and in receipt of a Department of Energy grant of $75,000, Dr. Marvel assembled a team of engineers to develop the Airlift Oil Pumping System. After five years of testing, three generations of product development, product field testing success, patents and patents pending in the U.S., patents with the Gulf Council Consortium (GCC), and additional provisional worldwide patent status, the Airlift Oil Pumping System is moving into commercialization.
Alchemix Corporation
Alchemix Corporation has invented and is now pursuing the commercialization of the HydroMax technology, a process designed to produce large volumes of hydrogen at costs which are a small fraction of those associated with current hydrogen production methods. To date, four patents have been issued by the U.S. Patent Office covering 240 claims of invention and protection worldwide is being pursued through international patent treaties. There is an existing US$60 billion hydrogen market growing at double digit rates. More than 80% is produced and consumed by oil refineries and ammonia fertilizer plants.

The Company's current plans are to build and operate an integrated pilot plant and then proceed to a commercial plant which is scheduled to begin operating at the end of 2008. It is likely to be sited at an oil refinery where petroleum coke is available as feedstock and the hydrogen can be sold to the refinery. Following successful operation of the first commercial plant, management expects that HydroMax will become the standard hydrogen production method due to far lower capital and operating costs compared to gasification. Operating costs are also significantly lower than the steam methane reformation process (SMR) which requires natural gas as feed.

While there are 750 existing oil refineries and 375 ammonia plants which require low cost hydrogen, exponential growth in demand for hydrogen will occur when reliably available low cost hydrogen enters the transportation market. Low cost hydrogen will first allow the production of cleaner synthetic diesel, gasoline and jet fuel at costs that are below those for the same products derived from oil. This will allow coal-rich, oil-poor countries such as the United States, China, India and Indonesia to become energy independent. Ultimately, hydrogen will be used directly in internal combustion engines or fuel cells for both transportation and electric power generation.

The key to the economics of the HydroMax technology is its use of raw materials that have little or no alternative commercial value, such as petroleum coke, high sulfur coal, municipal waste, discarded tires, biomass, and sewage sludge. These feedstocks can be secured with long-term contracts that will provide a stable, low cost basis for hydrogen production. When biomass or other renewable carbon sources such as municipal waste or sewage sludge are used as feedstock for HydroMax, the process yields no net carbon dioxide emissions.

Automation Technology, Inc.
Automation Technology, Inc. ("ATI", or the "Company") is a provider of web-based collaborative planning and knowledge management software for the electrical power generation industry. Sitting outside of installed CMMS/EAM and ERP systems, the Company's software provides plant owners, managers, engineers, OEMs and other outside service vendors immediate access to a single integrated view of maintenance, monitoring/diagnostic, scheduling, and inspection data accessible via a web browser. ATI's value proposition, simply stated, is to help improve equipment reliability by eliminating outage extensions and avoiding unscheduled downtime of complex capital-intensive equipment.

As much as 24% of an overall plant operating budget can be spent during a planned power outage, which may be as short as 2 weeks and up to 8 weeks in duration. Inadequate planning of outage workscope is a major cause of downtime extension resulting in lost revenue and the high probability of an unplanned outage if maintenance/repair/replace tasks are overlooked. It is critical that all necessary maintenance resources, activities, procedures and spare parts are known, scheduled and available as planned far in advance. To address this issue, equipment operators are involving OEMs and third party service providers with assessment expertise in the planning process. Coordinating activity of this scale requires a collaborative asset outage-planning and knowledge management tool to ensure a timely startup of the plant.
Bixby Energy Systems
www.bixbyenergy.com
Bixby Energy Systems, Inc. was founded July 2001, with a plan to harness the energy potential existing with Biomass. Since inception, Bixby has validated its Biomass Energy concept, evolved its technology, and is positioned to realize that potential. The failure to develop Biomass stems from the inability to get the 3 factors working together (a universally usable fuel, an energy system to burn the fuel, and a method of providing fuel to consumers in a consistent manner.) Early pellets did not burn well, existing furnaces could not burn this fuel, and no system was developed to provide a continuing supply of fuel to consumers who wanted to use them. Bixby reasoned that the solution required the planned simultaneous launching, by a single organization, would insure the successful development and implementation of these disciplines. In just 3 years Bixby’s accomplishments in achieving those goals are nothing short of evolutionary. • First, we developed densified pellets for harvesting the energy available in all Biomass materials. • Second, we developed a furnace burn mechanism with a 99.7% combustion efficiency producing more usable heat per pound. • Third, we established a profitable method of distributing our pelletized fuels consumers.

Cooler Power Inc.
Cooler Power is in the Product Development stage to manufacture and distrubute its zero-emission Heat to Power Conversion Unit "HPC" systems for a wide range of applications. The HPC utilizes low temperature heat (e.g., 220F) from any source to boil a fuel in a closed loop system where the evaporated fuel at low pressures expands into a turbine which, in turn, turns an electric generator. The fuel is a Kyoto Protocol-approved refrigerant. The fuel is then condensed and recirculated through the system. No fossil fuel is burned at any point to power the HPC unit. The heat source used to boil the refrigerant comes from heat that would othewise be wasted. The company was started in June of 2000 and developed its first 15kW unit in June 2001. A 50kW HPC unit was installed at a beta site in August 2002 and has been operating since. A commercial applicating site (150kW) is currently under construction.

Delta Pressure Generation Systems LLC
DeltaGen designs, constructs, owns and operates a portfolio of distributed electric generating plants located within natural gas pipelines, LDCs and industrial facilities. Each plant generates 1MW - 10 MW of energy/emissions-free electricity by recovering energy from existing reductions in the pressure of gas across pressure regulating valves. By building and managing these plants as an integrated portfolio of similar generation assets, DeltaGen achieves significant cost economies of scale while maximizing revenue streams and profitability from the individual assets.

Pipelines transport gas at pressures between 600-1,500 psi. Pressures are reduced, by throttling or expanding the gas, to as low as ¼ psi before the gas is consumed or delivered to end users. This process wastes the significant potential energy inherent in the pressure.

DeltaGen’s patented and proprietary technologies, together with commercially available equipment, capture this energy and use it to create electricity and/or refrigerant. DeltaGen uses expansion engines or turboexpanders to reduce the pressure, in parallel with existing pressure regulating stations. Neither of these technologies burn or consume the gas and, as a result, DeltaGen’s systems are an energy/emissions-free source of “green” power with • competitive installed costs • extremely low marginal operating costs • high capacity factors; and • no exposure to volatile fuel pricing.

Freus Inc.
Freus Inc is a water cooled air conditioning manufacturing company. The company was launched to commercialize residential high efficiency water cooled air conditioning. Freus acquired a 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Juarez Mexico (on the El Paso Texas border) (18M Freus capacity) which builds evaporative cooling products and had an early version of the evaporative condenser (now called the "Freus" unit). Patent rights were acquired. Freus units were redesigned and discounted units (some free) were sold to contractors to establish field performance and reliability during 2002. In September of 2002 Freus obtained ARI performance certification in order to be accepted into standard Utility Air Conditioning rebate programs in California and Las Vegas. In 2003 Freus marketing efforts focused on obtaining major distributors (existing sales of $40M+) to provide local inventory and service to installing contractor/dealers. Major Distributors were obtained in Las Vegas (January 2003), Arizona (June 2003), and California (August 2003). In these markets Freus units save more in utility costs than they add to the homebuyers mortgage, and thus have tremendous new construction opportunity (builder & contractor make more profit on Freus' units than competitor's units). PG&E approached Freus to help sell more units in their territory. Funding is being sought to fund marketing and manufacturing expansion. Growth from sales of $2M in 2003 to $72M in 2006 is projected with a gross profit over 30%. At that point Freus expects to be acquired or go public (to fund large scale market growth).
FuPower International Group Inc..
FuPower International Group Inc. is a US holding corporation of a Chinese research company that has invented revolutionary FuPower Electric Generator and Motor Technology that will transform the electric energy industry. Using FuPower Generator Technology, FuPower has invented miniature generators that are able to produce many times more power than conventional generators of the same sizes. For example, Independent test reports show that miniature (shoe heel embeddable) FuPower generators are capable of producing as much as 282 W and 60 volts of power through walking force. This amazing result has far surpassed the 3 W goal set by the energy harvesting research projects at DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Project Agency), US Army Research Office and NASA. In addition, a prototype small hand crank generator for charging batteries (many times more powerful than Motorola's FreeCharge) has been invented to provide anytime anywhere power recharge for consumer and military portable electronic devices. FuPower Generator Technology is scalable to make large to mega watts generators, for automobiles, electric vehicles, and distributed, central and renewable power stations. Using FuPower Motor Technology, a small electric motor was invented to have a 92% conversion rate as independent test shown. Conventional small motors of the same size can hardly have 50% conversion rate. FuPower Motor Technology is also scalable to make large motors. The super high efficiency of FuPower motors will greatly help improve the performance of electric vehicles and reduce electricity consumption by electric motor driven machines that use up 64% of our nation's electricity. The breakthrough principle underlying the FuPower Generator Technology and Motor Technology is that, by using the FuPower technology, a great amount of energy is drawn from special magnets used in the generators and motors to produce the EXTRA power. This discovery of utilizing of renewable magnetic energy will lead the world into a golden age of energy civilization.

Subsequent patents were issued to protect this intellectual property for commercialization. The discovery of the solid reactant technology in 2001 first led to a process for producing methanol and DME from methane. Subsequent work showed the process was a more general chemical "platform" allowing the production of a variety of products including olefins, alcohols, ethers, epoxides, and aldehydes from natural gas. Most recently the technology was shown to offer a means of coupling natural gas to produce gasoline. GRT aims to commercialize processes in both the chemicals and the fuels markets. Our commercialization strategy for each market is different and designed to begin to return significant value to shareholders by 2008 or earlier. GRT's mission is the development and commercialization of highly profitable new chemical processes based on this core solid cataloreactant technology to produce gasoline and chemcials from natural gas.

International Energy Conservation
IEC is a multi-disciplined company engaged in electrical energy demand side reduction/management in the public and private sector. We provide operating cost reductions to our clients primarily through the use of new technology retrofits, usually after having provided energy usage audits and assessments. We distribute some of the leading international energy conservation product lines, choosing to represent high quality technology that is scalable, transparent and automatic. In addition to assisting clients to reduce electrical costs, we help them to increase the service life and dependability of their electrical components, thus reducing the "through life" capital cost of their assets. In manufacturing environments, productivity is increased and downtime is reduced. By serving as a distribution channel for new, but tested, approved and proven, technological advances in the energy conservation sector, rather than as a manufacturer, IEC is poised for exponential growth because of its flexibility and adaptability. It is one of our watchwords that "Energy Conservation Saves More Than Energy." By reducing wasted energy, companies have a positive effect on the overall economy and environment, in addition to improving the bottom line of their operating financial statements. After installation of some retrofits, clients are awarded a Certificate indicating that the company has acted responsibly in its daily operations by reducing CO2 and other greenhouse gasses that are harmful to the environment.

Pentadyne Power Corporation.
Pentadyne designs, manufacturers and sells flywheel power systems which provide high quality, highly reliable electricity for power-sensitive customers. Flywheels are an efficient means for commercial and industrial firms to store a "ready-reserve" of energy on-site to provide themselves a flexible capability for their energy needs. These products are designed to both supplant products in existing markets and provide a means to accomplish a variety of new market roles not supported by existing technologies. Flywheel systems draw electrical energy from a primary power source, such as the electric grid, or sources of distributed generation, such as diesel generators, fuel cells, or microturbines. The systems store energy in kinetic form within a rapidly spinning disk, and then release such energy to provide uninteruptible, high quality electric power. The primary market for the Company's systems is power quality. Grid supplied power is often characterized by momentary interruptions, spikes and sags. Such power quality problems often result in disruption or damage to today's sensitive electronic equipment. The Pentadyne flywheel will provide 120 kW of instant, precise electrical power for up to 20 seconds - a time period that exceeds the duration for 98% of industrial and commercial power quality problems. Run in parallel, the systems provide up to 5 megawatts of power.
RenewABILITY Energy Inc.
www.renewability.com

RenewABILITY Energy, Inc. (REI) designs, manufactures and sells the patent pending Power-Pipe™ Drainwater Heat Recovery System. The Power-Pipe™ RECYCLES THERMAL ENERGY that would otherwise be lost down the drain. We have been in business since July 2000, we are profitable and are well positioned to take advantage of rising energy prices and environmental concerns.

In a nutshell the Power-Pipe™ is a ULC approved heat exchanger for potable water that is excellent for recovering heat from warm to hot drainwater because it doesn't plug-up. Because it has no moving parts it will last as long as the piping around it (usually 30 plus years). A standard water heating system can be downsized by 40% with the Power-Pipe™.

Our new focus is industrial applications where R&D has concentrated on innovations to meet the challenge of pulp & paper and food processing. Applications in the industrial area have paybacks of 0.5 to 2 years with very good margins. In concentrated locations such as health club showers, cafeteria dishwashers, and laundry facilities payback is 1 to 3 years. It also saves energy in single family homes, apartment buildings, hotels and college dorms that have multiple drainage systems. A new Multi Unit Residential Building will have a payback in the range of 3 to 6 years.

A subsidiary company - REI TESS - installs systems at no cost to the customer (in larger applications), meters the amount of thermal energy delivered, then charges the customer for the energy delivered at a discounted rate.

Rentricity, Inc
