Infocast invites WellDog to present at Energy Venture Fair III August 9, 2002, Laramie, Wyo— WellDog Inc. (WellDog) is one of twenty-five companies that have been invited to present at the nation's leading venture capital conference for the energy industry. WellDog was selected by Infocast's technical advisory board from among seventy-five select nominations. "Welldog was re-invited to present at the Energy Venture Fair-III due to their promising technology servicing the oil/gas industry, a rapid acceptance of the technology, and a strong management team to move the company forward," said Jon T. Brock, Senior Director of Energy-IT/Strategic Intelligence at SCIENTECH, Inc., member of the Energy Venture Fair Advisory Board, and the Event Chairman. The Energy Venture Fair III, to be held in Chicago in October, is becoming the most important event of its kind in the energy sector, according to Infocast's web site. After remaining slots are filled by a competitive review process, 75 companies from across the country will present their businesses to venture capitalists, investment bankers, and strategic partners. WellDog presented its energy technology business at the Energy Venture Fair II held in Houston in late January and as a result met several strategic partners and investors. WellDog develops new chemical sensing technologies for natural gas exploration and production. The company is in the process of commercializing the WellDog RA-1 service which helps coalbed methane companies find gas faster and cheaper and reduce the amount of water that they produce. The company is also developing technologies for finding oil and gas in the deep ocean.
